Dr N is a UK trained family doc now celebrating 35 yrs in practice. She moved with her family to Cochrane in 2006. She built her family practice over a few years, finally settling into the teaching pod of the Primary care clinic for 11 years until it closed in 2021. She feels fortunate to now be a part of the Fireside team - and watch the clinic flourish. She has a special interest in mental health (ADHD, anxiety and mood disorders) especially children through to emerging adults. She continues to be the physician champion for the Cochrane Child and Youth Collaborative Team, helping to support families and youth in connecting to essential supports in our community. She also maintains her interest in women's health and accepts referrals for minor gynecologic procedures as well as assessment of genital prolapse and management of pessary use.
Due to her other commitments she now has a very limited generalist practice, but she maintains her involvement through her work in postgraduate medical education.
She is proud to call Cochrane “ home”, and enjoys getting out into the mountains and trips to the family getaway in Kimberley. She enjoys sugarcraft and cake art when time permits - and values time with family and friends above all .
