Dear Fireside Family Health Patient,

Alberta Health Care covered eye disease screening for early detection and treatment of vision loss is offered by Euclid Telehealth with your family physician at Fireside Family Health.

Did you know 1 in 5 Canadians will suffer preventable vision loss in their lifetime, if left unchecked?

Euclid Telehealth provides a specialized, non-invasive, 20-minute eye disease assessment to identify changes that lead to vision loss and blindness, such as: glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, among many others.

Anyone can access this Alberta Health Care covered eye disease screening at no charge (it is always good to start at a younger age and set up a baseline of your eye health). If any of the following apply you should consider an annual eye disease assessment:

  •  You are over 40 years old
     
  •  You are diabetic
     
  •  You have a family history of eye disease
     
  •  You are experiencing any of the following:
    • Blurred vision
    • A gradual change in vision
    • Increased difficulty driving at night

Sleep Therapeutics

In clinic every 2nd Wednesday of the month

Euclid (Eye Health)

In clinic every 2nd Monday of the month effective April 14th

Patient Criteria:

Over 40 years old, not wearing glasses, do not have ophthalmologist, do not have extended health benefits

Diabetics 19 years or older

They are testing inner eye health, NOT for eyeglasses

Ophthalmologist will read results, if additional tests needed patients will be referred to their clinic near Northland Mall

Beltone (Audiology)

In clinic every 2nd Tuesday of the month effective April 8


Hearing health needs, Hearing test, and Hearing aids

Patients under 65 will be subject to a fee

Anyone over 65 there is no charge.

Can’t test children

Calgary Lung Centre

In clinic every 4th Friday of the month effective April 25

No age restriction, history of asthma, prolonged cough, COPD

Spirometry testing, smoking cessation, inhaler education
